Kornelia's guide to cupping: How to help acne, rosacea, cellulite and slack skin
Cupping - or suction cup massage - has recently become a hit in holistic skincare. It is a 5000 year old method, originating primarily from Arab countries (known as Hijama) and China. Traditional Chinese medicine has used suction cups for acupuncture, acupuncture to correct the movement of the life energy Qi between the meridian points. In Europe, especially the eastern part, suction cups have been used as alternative and invigorating treatment for concoction, pulmonary and sinusitis and bronchittis. It is a form of massage that stimulates the body's natural defences.
There are various cupping methods:
1. Dry cupping
2. Wet cupping
3. Massage cupping
Dry and wet cupping are used by reflexologists and naturalists when treating diseases and chronic pain.
In dry cupping, the suction cups are placed on dry skin and with the help of fire it creates a vacuum effect. This method is also used in some places in China during surgical operations or respiratory diseases.
In wet cupping, the therapist makes small wounds on the skin and puts the following suction cup on the skin. It is a kind of vein charge that should remove stagnant blood, show heat and provide pain relief. This kind of treatment has often been practised in the Arab countries.
Massage cupping (or connective tissue massage) was initially used much by physiotherapists and masseurs to relieve sore muscles, sports injuries and eliminate muscle tension. Over time, the method was used in cosmetic treatment of celullite. This kind of massage uses oil as a sliding part to move the suction cup. Particularly good effect of massage cupping can be seen in the treatment of acne, rosacea, cellulite, slack skin, scars and stretch marks
BUT HOW CAN A SMALL CUP LIKE THAT MAKE IT ALL?
When placing a suction cup on the skin, it forms a vacuum while being pulled over the skin's surface. In this way, blood circulation in the tissue is increased and it improves lymphatic circulation. It provides plenty of oxygen and nourishment to the skin, while releasing acid and waste, which the afterfulgenes are excreted using the lymphatic system.
Treatment of acne and rosacea with suction cup
Cupping massage is a great egg treatment for acne and rosacea skin, which can help to strengthen the skin by reducing inflammation and inflammation in it. For starters, you use a suction cup 1 to 2 times a week. It is important to make a kind of "lymphatic drainage". You drive up to 3 times along each track with straight and circular movements. Don't do that treatment when you're busy, give yourself time to relax.
Cellulite
Orange skin is caused by accumulations of waste in connective tissue, hormones and poor blood circulation. Massage with suction cup helps to break down cellulite and also works preventively (also on stretch marks). Treatment is performed more strongly than on the face. You run on your thighs from your knees up to the hip until the skin feels warm in this area. It's important not to drive back and forth on the same track. If treatment was performed incorrectly or forcefully, bruising may occur. But it is important to stress that cupping alone cannot remove celullite; it is important that you eat healthily and exercise.
