How to meet spring: 5 great skincare tips and our favorite products!
Spring is just above us and better late than never!
Spring is a time that can well present challenges for your skin. Typically, most people will feel that their skin is dry and irritated on top of the cold winter, and this often means that your skin's immune system is weakened. Many also find that the skin can start to turn out a little or bloom, just as nature does.
That's why I've collected my top five skin care tips in the spring, so you can go summer with a strong and healthy skin:
Use sun protection! The UV index is rising a lot and now is the time to be careful. Our skin is not used to the amount of UV and combined with dryness and impaired immune systems makes us easy sun damage.
Get a facial that suits spring challenges! Avoid acid treatments, but get a thorough peeling - like enzyme peeling - and a lot of moisture. It may also be a good idea to get treatments where you can build your skin up with vitamin A.
Out with grease, in with moisture. Replace your cool nutritious winter creams and get started with the more moisturising and light creams. Spring is serum time! Go for hyaluronic acid and peptides!
Remember your eye cream. To prevent the summer strain on our eye environment, you need to bring out your favorite eye cream! Peptides are brilliant for the delicate surroundings and will give you just the right build-up of the skin.
Start with self-tans. The self-tanning season is just beginning and especially in spring there are good arguments for using them. Often we get so desperate to get a little suit that we throw our face in the sun as soon as the first rays hit. Remember, though, that self-tans do not protect from the sun!
My 5 favorite products for spring:
RAD 15 sunscreen from environ. This sunscreen is a hit with our customers because it doesn't seem cloggy or oily on the skin, but this sunscreen feels almost like whipped cream.
Spring Boost Facial. This facial is designed for all the challenges of spring. You get thorough peeling, lots of moisturizing massage and stimulating cupping. Click here to read more!
Skin essentia crème from Environ. Environs step up vitamin A series, which boosts your skin with vitamin A and moisture.
Youth Essentia Eye Gel. Youth Essentia Eye Gel is my favorite eye cream/gel of all time. It's incredibly good against dark rims and dryness. Contains lots of peptides.
James Read H2O mist. The H20 Misten is the best I've tried! It darkens your skin 1/2-1 tone, so it also looks very natural. It makes you look healthy with beautiful glow. And then it's a fine mist that doesn't smell, but like a rose water that makes you don't get stains and blotches.
I hope you all have a great spring and I can't wait to see you down here in the clinic!
